Fimth-sèqi Fêqê (/ˈbɪrɪ/ /ˈsèqi/ [high] [east]) is a temperate Large Town located in the Vêshëcehê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Fimth-sèqi Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Fimth-sèqi Fêqê was founded by Ênka Èdsîpî Zlkdsí, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Fimth-sèqi Fêqê receives an average of 245 cm/y (96 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Fimth-sèqi Fêqê covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1386 m (4547 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê was founded durring the late 14th century in summer of the year 1274, by Ênka Èdsîpî Zlkdsí. The establishment of Fimth-sèqi Fêqê was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Fimth-sèqi Fêqê's construction back out of the project. Ênka Èdsîpî Zlkdsí pushed on reguardles, and Fimth-sèqi Fêqê was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fimth-sèqi Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê is buildings are arranged arrounded a highly ordered system of crampt paverstone streets which form triangular paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Unfortuantly, these millitarily questionable fortifications are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look around Fimth-sèqi Fêqê is like a look into a broken heart. There is no planning, no organization. Everyone here clearly goes about their own thing with little thought to anyone around them who isn’t selling something they need. It’s not malicious. Heads are hung. Eyes are empty. Something truly horrible happened here once upon a time and the town never healed.

Civic Infrastructure

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Fimth-sèqi Fêqê. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Fimth-sèqi Fêqê's parks.

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê has an Millitary Academy which trains military officers and specilists.

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Large Town. Fimth-sèqi Fêqê's grid is powered by an arcane means.

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Fimth-sèqi Fêqê's natural decorations nor waterways.

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Two or more groups of citizens within Fimth-sèqi Fêqê hate each other. Their neighbors or the local law have kept things from too-overt violence, but members of the groups will constantly interfere with their rivals and cause whatever misery they can get away with. This hate may spring from recent events, or it may be an inherited spite from old wrongs.

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

In Fimth-sèqi Fêqê the utterance of expletives is impossible within city limits. This has changed as the limits have changed, but has not kept up with slang, or swearing in foreign languages.

The Ice Elemental, Small near Fimth-sèqi Fêqê are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Fimth-sèqi Fêqê's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves destroying a prepared ritual vessel to channel Necromancy energies of tier 1 via oratory performances.

The quake brought ruin to Fimth-sèqi Fêqê, which lost 280 people, 131 livestock, and 38 buildings in the earthquake. The day of the quake is remembered by many as Agony's Day.
